Joseph Montoro a 45-year-old 11-handicapper from Miami has some talent thanks to a background in baseball and a clubhead speed that hits 104 mph with the driver. With his current off-the-rack clubs his tendency was to miss a lot of shots to the right—fine when you’re advancing a runner to third but not when you’re aiming for fairways and greens. His lone remaining Nike club is a Vapor Fly Pro driving iron. Here’s a full list of the aforementioned gear he used to prove he’s currently the best closer on the PGA Tour: Cleveland wedges have been some of the most popular in the game seemingly since they were first introduced in the late 70’s.
Today’s RTX 4 model ($140 each) carries on the tradition exceptionally well with fourth generation Rotex face technology which features the most aggressive face milling and sharpest grooves of any Cleveland wedge to date.
